the reasons for recent migration in bhutan are dominated by employment-related reasons. if dependent migrant household members are assigned to the lead reason for migration, employment-related reasons determine 53 percent of recent migration in the country. it is notable that more than one third (37 percent) of employment-related migration refers to the transfer to a different workplace, mostly for public servants.
