The recent assistant director of your program left for a different job. You have worked at your center for 2 years in all different classrooms, have a bachelor's degree, and took some early childhood classes during your time earning it. You are also currently enrolled in a CDA class. Since your state licensing board says you need an associate degree or higher with at least 6 ECE credits and or a CDA credential to be in a director position, you apply to become the next assistant director. After interviewing for the position twice, to your surprise you get offered the job, and you accept it. However, your coworker, the preschool teacher, also applied for the job, has worked there for 6 years but does not have a degree. She only recently started taking ECE classes in an associate program. She is clearly upset that you received the position, because she has been giving you the cold shoulder, and you found out that she has complained to the director about you. What would you do in this situation? Remember to be professional and that you are now one of her supervisors
