The requirements for this discussion is twofold:

1) The board of Directors of ABC Company has determined that there is a lack of ethical behavior among its managers and general staff. They hire you as their consultant to present a plan to them that will include specific recommendations with rational describing what the company needs to do to improve the ethical behavior of its employees. Remember being unethical does not necessarily mean illegal. Start you proposal indicating why ethical behavior is important for all employees within a company

2) Read the following critical thinking scenarios carefully and respond:

You are a member of the Board of Directors for ABC Company. As a Board member you are asked to respond to the following senerio:

John is the CEO of ABC Company and has turned the company around. Prior to John being appointed as the CEO, the company had some sever financial problems. John has come in and made the necessary changes that needed to be made and the company has not only turned around, but continues to prosper under John's leadership. However, the issue that has come to light is John's charater. John is married with children, but is a flirt inside and outside the company. Within the company no one has made a formal complaint (re: harrassment), but everyone is well aware of his flirtacious character. Outside the company John has been seen with other women with behavior that does not appear to be platonic in nature. He has attended Gala openings for new businesses with women other than his wife. His character has been suspect and this has been bought to your attention as a Board member of the company.

Do you see any issue with John staying on with the company as the CEO? Do you feel John's behavior may be determential to the company in the future? Do you see John's behavior as a problem? If so, should anything be done to correct his behavior?
