Joseph and Krystalare part of your socialgroup. TheyjoinedMissile'sFinancialServicestogether as middlemanagers.Each one, reportsto adifferent senior manager.These senior managers report to the Managing Director.Once a month after payday, Joseph, Krystal and other membersofthe social group alltryto have lunch together.

Joseph isvery distressed.'I've had an awfulweek and thismorning wastheworst!'He recounts what happen betweenhimself and Nicholas, hismanager.

'Nicholasand I weretomeet with anew supplier tofinalizeacontract.I have beendealing with the supplier allthis time, over two anda halfmonthsand wejust needed to finalize thecosting.Wehad reached an agreementabout the costthat both ofus were comfortable with.For thepast two weeks, I havebeen trying to get Nicholasto look at the contract and agreethe figuresetc.Wereallyneed thisguy's company.Theyare fastand have agreat reputation for productsand

services.Theprice isgood and theyare willing to customizethestationary, with no additionalcost to us.Anyway, Nicholas was alwaystoo busy to meet.I emailed him thecontract and myteams thoughtson how weshould proceed hoping he would readit.'Myteam consistsofthe Accounts/FinanceManager, InventoryManager, Legal Officer, Research & Development Manager, PublicRelations Manager and I, and wemeet at different timesand days.

'Anywaywe, Nicholasand I, met withthe supplier this morning.We aregoing through thecontract, the next thing I knowNicholas says,'This won't work for us.Thecost istoo high.Where did these calculationscomefrom?' 'If thefloor had opened up and swallowed meI could havenotbeen more embarrassed.Imean I spent threeweeks, working on itwiththeteamAccounting, PR and Legal!Joseph shaking hishead continued, 'hejusttook over theconversation.I mean wegot the contract signed but in theend allthat happened wasthat thefigures were rearranged we still end up paying the same.''Iam tiredof thisfoolishness. He stayslockedin hisoffice on hiscell every day.OnlyGod knows what he doesin there.'
