The scenario is that you are the manager of a large beach-side ice creamery which your parents own. Customers can eat in-- since the shop also has tables, chairs, cakes and drinks-- or can take away. You have 2 part -time staff making the ice cream in the back and working on new flavours through researching overseas trends. There are 2 full- time staff serving customers and collecting payment. Then there is Wendy, your sister, who has had problems keeping jobs. She is in her mid-twenties and spends a lot of time chatting to male customers to the exclusion of helping in the store. She is there to help out daily, by cleaning the tables, and being an extra server for the takeaway ice cream. Her last job was at a fashion store from which she was sacked when she became rude to customers who she thought asked stupid questions and who she thought were too old to be buying fashion clothes. Wendy has only been there 3 months but is getting bored and believes cleaning the customer tables is beneath her. She believes she is very creative and will become a wealthy social media influencer and tends to spend a lot of time on social media. She becomes engrossed and does not come out from the back of store when it begins to get busy. She says if the customers want the ice cream, they will wait, so there is no need to hurry. Also, she feels that she is smart enough to run the store and could ding abetter job than you are doing. She began study in marketing and advertising and did very well in the practical assessments but said she hated doing exams so quit. To compete with other ice creameries your parents have asked you to work on a pop-up option which could appear at festivals, or any large event in the summer months. All the serving staff would be asked to wear funny clown costumes while serving. This should make the products stand out and hopefully entice a larger number of customers as well as promote the main store. You are being asked to implement this change. However, all the other staff, apart from Wendy, feel this would degrade the brand's image. Using the case study above, please respond to the following questions in point form.

Using the Expectancy Model, detail how you would motivate Wendy to what you would think is appropriate from your perspective (where appropriate, you can use hypothetical calculations to illustrate your points).
