The Scenario:

You have been appointed as a Project Manager for a project that requires special attention to preparing a project document for the Top Management. Your project should be a small-sized project (up to RM 500,000 in value) which is to be completed longest by a year of its commencement. The project must have at least 10 main activities. The Project Document should include the followings:

1. Define your organization and the importance of the project. a. Nominating an organization of your choice that operates in the disciple of Construction/ Management/ Marketing/ Technology/ Oil and Gas/ IT Outsource Services/ Software Company/ Engineering. Nominate a suitable project (for example road development, sub-divisional development, power station, an ERP establishment, installation, maintenance, surveying, etc.)

2. Prepare a project scope statement for your project.

3. Create a list of activities and their duration for the project.

4. RACI Matrix.

5. Incorporate a list of resources required for each activity listed.

6. Create a complete Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

7. Cost estimation: - The estimated cost for developing and managing the entire project should include the infrastructure costs of the project including salary, hardware, software and other costs which you think possible.

8. Proposed timelines.

9. Draw a Gantt chart to schedule the entire project.

10. Constraints and Risks in the project.
