The scope of work of the contract includes coordination with other entities, public utilities, etc., entities over which neither you or the owner have any control, to complete the project. What strategies would be helpful to facilitate getting the necessary utility work done promptly to avoid delays for the contractor? 

a. Call the utility company a week before you need their work installed to keep your project moving 

b. Invite representatives from the public utility companies to the pre-construction meeting 

c. Contact utility companies early in the project life cycle; preferably during pre-design to determine all regulatory requirements, and permitting, and provide all design documents and utility requirements 

d. Invite representatives from the public utility companies to attend regular progress meetings and practice ongoing partnering to accomplish required tasks
