The spreadsheet image below shows the number of hits of each type (single, double, triple, home run) for each team in Major League Baseball in the 2017 season.

Suppose you wanted to know if the distribution of hit-types for your favorite team was what you'd expect when compared to the distribution of hit-types across MLB as a whole. In other words, did your team hit the proportion of singles, doubles, triples, and home runs that you'd expect?

In 2017 the Hou Astros hit the 2nd-highest number of home runs out of all 30 MLB teams. Since they hit so many home runs compared to all the other teams (except the Yankees), you might guess that the proportion of their hits that were home runs was unusually large.

How could you find out if that was true? How about the proportion of singles, doubles, and triples?
