The system consists of a database and a servlet to access the database. The database is running on a server and can be accessed via a TCP/IP link. The main program is running on a different server as a Java Servlet. The database has a component to retrieve the query string and return the data and another component to insert data. The database is an .exe file. The server has a component to query the user for a search command and another component to submit the query.
