The TED talk Video of Philip Howard: Four ways to fix a broken legal system

In the video, one of Mr. Howard's points in his Ted Talk was that there are too many laws and regulations and this is impeding common sense decision making. So let's take Mr. Howard at his word, and assume he is right and there are too many laws / regulations - Further assume that you are "King" or "Queen" for the day and have the power to eliminate any set of laws or regulations that are in force today.

please identify what law or regulation you would change or repeal and explain why!

Your "why" or reasoning for eliminating or changing the law should be geared to helping improve common sense decision making or improving some aspect of society- the phrase "common sense decision making" and "improving some aspect of society" should be construed broadly and you have as much leeway as you need to make the connection between the law you want to change or repeal and how it helps common sense decision making or improves some aspect of society - I am more interested in your creative and original thinking about this subject than a direct link between the law you want to change / repeal and its impact on common sense decision making / improving society. Thus, you could argue that you want to repeal all laws that make marijuana and other similar drugs illegal so as avoid over crowed jails, etc. or for some other creative reason! In short, youhave a "license" to be creative on making the connection and creativity and original thought should be reasonable
