The terms project management and product management are often used interchangeably. However, the terrns refer to different disciplines. This means that they require different sets of skills and tools for the work to he completed efficiently. Project management is a term that refers to the exercise of leading work that team performs to achieve certain goals that have been set within and on h'nie[ CITATION LElQ ii 1033 ]. The challenge in project management is, therefore, to achieve goals set for the project despite all constraints encountered. On the other hand, the term project management refers to an organizational function that deals with the development of a product, launching, marketing and planning of products at different stages of the life cycle of the product.
