The three following 3-phase loads are connected in parallel. Details are: Load I Load 2 Load 3 12 kW at power factor 0.85 lagging, 4 kVAr, 6 kVA at power factor 0.9 leading. Supply voltage is 3-phase, 415 V (line). a) Calculate the total load, in kVA, kW, kVAr and overall power factor. Is the arrangement a net load or a net generator? Is the arrangement inductive or capacitive overall? b) Calculate the total current per phase drawn, c) If inductive overall, calculate the amount of capacitance required to bring overall power factor to unity. d) Express the total load drawn in complex power polar format (S/0).
