The three websites I chose were amazon, feeding America and cook county clerk of the circuit court. When trying to make a purchase on amazon you can either buy it right away or add it to a cart that allows you to continuing to browse their website looking for other things to purchase which obviously encourages spending more. On the feeding America website, you have the option to donate today, monthly, or in honor of someone. None of these options are tracking your purchase while navigating the site but as a nonprofit, their goal is not the same as an e-commerce site. The clerk of the circuit court website allows you to make online payments for court fines and fees whether that be for a traffic, civil, or criminal case. This will actually take you to a payment provider website to complete your transaction.

All of these sites use secure transmissions which is important that you know you can trust the website that you are giving your credit card or bank account information to. Sometimes the https:// doesn't show up in the url unless you click the url bar. Was also able to click the padlock button on each website to confirm they are secured.

I don't really think I have any improvement advice for amazon as I am personally an avid user and think they have a very sleek interface that leads to finding what you are looking for easily. Feeding America has more of a basic website but it does what it sets out to do which is let you know what this organization is all about as well as having a big red button in a few places that will allow you to donate to their cause. The cook county clerk of the circuit court website has a lot of options for what you are looking to pay for which is generally a good thing but for someone who doesn't know about specific legal/court terms, they may become confused and choose the wrong option when trying to pay so I may suggest some instructions for those that may need it.
