The following errors were consequently found out: Furniture of RM 15,000 for business use had been debited to purchase account. It is companys policy to provide depreciation. Furniture to be depreciated at the rate 20% per annum using straight line method. Debtors control was shown as RM 89,330. However, Mr Jars debt of RM 3,810 is uncollectable and not yet written off. The previous provision for doubtful debts was RM 2,400. The company decided to adjust provision for doubtful debts to 3% of debtors control at the end of the year. Total purchase day book RM 8,910 had been posted as RM 8,190 in the purchase account. A cash sale of RM 1,780 to Zoey was completely omitted from any books. Interest paid RM 150 was posted twice to the ledger from cash book. Required: (i) Prepare journal entries to correct the above events. (7 marks) (ii) Prepare suspense account. (2 marks) (iii) Prepare statement of corrected net profit. (5 marks)
