The two formats I have had experience with recently outside of the typical format is over the phone and online. I have had multiple interviews this summer in these formats because they allow for greater time flexibility and to interview for internships outside of the state. I can benefit from walk and talk meetings physically by allowing for more activity without needing more time which could in turn save the company money by cutting down on sickness and doctors visits from employees. I think walk and talk meetings are better for smaller groups and should be limited to around 4 or 5 at the greatest because people need to be able to hear each other while walking and also not bother people around them. Managers could outline and plan routes to take beforehand to keep these smooth and timely. I do think walk/talk meeting can be doable and are viable but they will take more effort and coordination which could be a turn off for some companies. In the video, Merchant talks about her experiences with walk/talk meetings and how they are beneficial physically and mentally for all parties.
