• The United States has entered a new era with regard to the issue of national defense.In years past, it was relatively easy for the United States to distinguish between friends and enemies.With the rise of terrorism, our country has to be even more diligent in protecting its citizens.As a result, it makes sense that a specific department of the government was created solely focused on this task. That being said, there have been some valid criticisms of this agency.
