States, therefore, have broad authority to create criminal laws. The authority to enact criminal laws, however, cannot be exercised in a manner that violates the rights of persons guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Do some online research and come up with two criminal laws that you feel are overly intrusive into the lives of the citizens of South Carolina. Be sure to briefly describe the law and explain why you feel it is intrusive.
