As noted in the Course Texts and Materials outline, the cases can be purchased at HBP (See Course Texts & Materials page) Learning Objectives All learning objectives for this assignment are based around the units covered in the course material. Your ability to understand and apply the course material to the case study is paramount and the key for achieving a good mark. There are four main objectives that are to be achieved for this assignment that form your assessment Analyze the different personalities of an organization and assess how different personality traits require different conflict resolution techniques. Analyze and determine the root cause(s) from which the situation evolved. |dentify the sources of conflict in this situation. Apply astrategy for resolving a complex conflict. In your analysis you must respond to the following questions: 1. What events lead to the present circumstances between Welland and Boddington? 2. Consider the work environment. What factors have caused the ongoing conflict? 3. What is the most critical problem between Welland and Boddington? Who should be held accountable for the conflict? Why? 4. Should Welland improve his working relationship with Boddington? Why? If so, how? 5. AsWelland, develop a detailed plan outlining a course of action for the immediate future and for the long term. Be prepared to support your plan. Suggested Approach for this Case Study This case study presents an opportunity for you and your group members to develop your case analysis skills and working in a team capacity. For this case study you must apply learnings and concepts covered throughout the course in a clear and concise manner. | am looking to see how your group applies the techniques introduced in your analysis and action plan. This is going to be the greatest challenge of the case study. Going beyond simply understanding concepts to applying them in a real-world setting is an important skill at this level and indicates true mastery of the material. The quality of your analysis and your ability to convey that analysis through effective writing are key to an effective case analysis, not quantity of your writing.
