The theoretical probability says 50%-50%, so how many of you got five tails and five heads? You probably will be surprised but the last time I did this in class , out of the 22 students participating, only 6 of them got 5t and 5h. I also added all tosses and the result was: out of 220 tosses, we got 102t and 118h which is much closer to 50%- 50%. What do you think? Why only six out of the 22 results confirmed the theoretical probability? We even had results like 8:2 - can we say that such coins are not fair coins? Why is the result of 220 tosses much closer to 50%-50%, when these are the same coins? Share your thoughts.
