Theories are often used to inform and guide a QI project. The purpose of the theoretical framework is to explain phenomena, draw connections, or predict. In this discussion, the student will identify the underlying concepts (sometimes called constructs) in the DNP Project by utilizing the PICOT statement or problem statement. Concepts are the building blocks of theories. Utilizing the concepts, the student will identify a theoretical framework that is supportive of working through the problem and guide the project by bridging the theory into practice. In this discussion, the student will: 1. Identify the underlying concepts in the DNP project 2. Identify the theoretical framework, and the essence of the theory 3. Explain how the theoretical framework will assist in bridging the theory into practice
