There are a lot of controversies around the Paraphilias diagnosis. One is whether it should even be a mental disorder since it is difficult regarding what is deviant, illegal, and what is not, as this relates to sexuality. The other controversy is around the treatment. Currently, there are not many successful treatments because many, who are diagnosed, are criminally prosecuted and not offered any treatment or they are not diagnosed because of the social shame involved with the behavior.

After reading about all the issues surrounding this disorder, what are your thoughts about how to get the people with this diagnosis treatment?
