• There are, generally speaking, two kinds of statistics researchers use, descriptive and inferential statistics. Will you be using one or both of these statistics in your research paper? Either way, please explain why?
• We use only nominal variables in chi-square analysis and ordinal and scaled (interval/ratio) variables in most other analyses such as bivariate correlation, analysis of variance, and multivariate analysis. What kind of variables do you have in your data and what analyses do you think you will be able to use with your variables?
• When we analyze a hypothesis (or a relationship between two variables) using a statistical analysis technique, we will get a sig. score (also called P score and statistical significance score) that is either =<.05 or > .05. If we get a sig. score that is =<.05, we usually conclude that we have found a statistically significant relationship between the variables. If we get a sig. score that is >.05, we usually conclude that we have not found a statistically significant relationship. Considering the weaknesses in sampling in most research, do you see any problems in using this standard in explaining the research findings?
