There are also many barriers to involving families and in many cases families are not involved. Some of these barriers are barriers related to the family (i.e. anger with the individual who is in treatment) other barriers are systemic and related to agencies/systems providing treatment (i.e. a belief that familiesare not interested in being involved because of this anger).
- What barriers have you identified through your practice (or for those not yet in the field, what barriers could you think of)? Identify at least 2 barriers.
- What approaches have you used/could you use to address these barriers?
