There are several criticisms given to the Resource Based View Theory (RBV) proposed by Barney (1991). One is that there are no managerial implications provided by the theory. According to Priem and Butler (2001), the Resource Based View (RBV) loses managerial implications or operational validity. The resource-based view explains that managers must develop and acquire strategic resources that meet the criteria of value, rare, non-imitation (non-imitable) and non-substitutable (irreplaceable) (VRIN criteria) and how appropriate organizations can be developed?
