There are several ways to increase your privacy when browsing the web. Internet users could use torproject.org, incognito windows, or browser add-ons. You may be using another method.

Using either torproject.org, incognito windows, or install a browser add-on, (or seach for another method) complete the following:

1. Go to zappos.com and search for a new pair of sandals, jandals, flip-flops, or slippers.
2. Which search method (from the above) are you using?
3. Is this browsing experiment taking place on a desktop/laptop, tablet or smartphone?
4. Which browser are you using?
5. If you are using an add-on, what is the name of the add-on?
6. What are the noticable differences between the safer browsing method you are using vs using a browser without additional security? (slower, faster, different interface, limited search results, etc)
7. How concerned are you about your browsing security?
8. What are the downsides to increasing your browsing security?
9. Based on your experience, how will this assignment change the way you browse the web in the future?
