There has been a considerable amount of research on the short-term effects of the pandemic on families - short-termbecause data on long-term effects are not yet available.

In this forum, you will provide comments (and questions) on these effects. Several reference links have been uploaded in the Marriage and Fertility section; you are free to draw from other sources as so long as you provide sources.

Some suitable topics are:

- why has this economic decline been labelled a "she-cession"? Is this reasonable?

- who has been most affected by the move to online work? Why?

- how have the restrictions called for by Public Health officials affect the bargaining power/threat points within a family?

- How does the data from Canada compare to that from other countries - for example: the US, China, the UK, Europe...
