There is an air of excitement in the Champions Arms pub, where the customers are watching the television coverage of the last day of the Premier League season. At the bar, Mikel jostles Luiz, spilling his beer. Luiz raises a fist in Mikel's face, saying "It's lucky you support Arsenal, mate, or I would have given you a thrashing." Hamza throws a bottle at Wes, who he believes is flirting with Hamza's girlfriend Rebekah. The bottle misses Wes but strikes Rebekah, causing her a serious eye injury. Hamza says afterwards that he had no idea that any serious injury would result. Hamza had been drinking what he believed to be a non-alcoholic fruit cocktail drink, but in fact his friend Kasper had swapped it for a drink that looked the same but contained mostly vodka. Hamza had never consumed alcohol before, and he believes that the drink caused him to lose his temper and throw the bottle. Frank sits at the bar quietly drinking his third pint. A diabetic, Frank has failed to take his regular dose of insulin because he is upset about a recent argument with his best friend Jurgen. As he heads for the lavatory, he temporarily loses consciousness and stumbles into Christian, a much smaller man, knocking him to the ground and fracturing Christian's skull. Meanwhile Paul, who has been drinking heavily, decides to make his way home. His friend Ole has given Paul the keys to his car and gone home. Paul heads to the car park with Ole's keys in his hand. Bruno is parking his own car, which is the same model and colour as Ole's, as Paul approaches. Paul believes that Bruno is trying to steal Ole's car, and pulls the car door wide open, causing damage to the hinge. Bruno pushes Paul away from the car, whereupon Paul punches Bruno in the face, breaking his nose.
