There is an island containing two types of people: knights who always tell the truth, and knaves who always lie. As you arrive at the island, you are approached by three natives, A,B, and C. A says: If B is a knight then C is a knave. B says: If C is a knight then A is a knave. C says: If A is a knight then B is a knave. Determine the number of kaights that are possible. Select all answers that apply (there may or may not be more than one). There may be a variety of ways to solve the problem. Hint 1: By the symmetry of this scenario, there are realy only four representative cases for each possible number of knights (0-3). For example, if you conclude that it is possible (or not possible) for A and B to be knights and C a knave, then you can draw the same conclusion about the case that B and C are knights, and A is a knave, as well as the case where C and A are knights, and B the knave. Hint 2: Consider the possibility that a lenight can speak true vacuously! Challenge: Although you can solve this problem by checking all the possible cases, it is possible to reason the solution after eliminating one of the scenarios, without having to check all others individually.
