Thesis: Positive representation of Atypical individuals, specifically those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourettes Syndrome, intellectual disabilities and individuals with general mental health issues, within American Television has been on the rise over the past 20 years, however, it could be argued that this increase in the positive representation of Atypical individuals within American Television in recent years could certainly yield more impressive and faster-moving results and forward progress in this instance of representing minoritized populations in American popular culture.

ANSWER QUESTIONS WITH THE ABOVE THESIS!

* Historically, who was first to break into the industry or who really opened doors for others? For example, Who was the first minoritized movie director OR the first to star in a TV program and/or have a voice in that programs direction OR the first to write an acclaimed book OR the first to win a Grammy, etc.? Include people that are have gotten less attention than they should have. Who dont we often hear about?

* Currently, who is using their talent and position to make a positive impression in the pop culture industries? Who are the people that are NOT yet widely known)? Who is opening doors, creating opportunities, and challenging stereotypes?

* Are there interesting historical milestones in the popular culture activities by this population?

* How has this population tried, to various levels of success, to represent themselves in TV, music, etc. instead of just being represented by powerful others.
