Think about "health" from an economist's lens, one of the major themes is that health has value beyond its own "utility" value (i.e. I like being healthy, I feel good, look good etc.) because it can have an impact on one's labor productivity (or productivity in general).
Being healthy (or at least not sick) means I don't miss work/school, I can work/study longer/harder etc.
That sounds nice in theory and all, but in this class, we're all about confronting theory with data and evidence.
