Think of working in the organization of your dreams. What would it look like? How would it be organized? How would people interact? Provide a description of your ideal organization. In doing so, consider the following organizational characteristics and elements.

Make sure you provide answers to the following points:

• What industry would it be?
• What is the mission of your ideal organization?
• What is the culture? What are the basic assumptions? What are the behavioral norms?Who are the heroes? How do people interact?
• How would people be organized? What is the structure? Consider issues of centralization, hierarchy, formalization, specialization, span of control, departmentalization and so on.
• What is the role of the leader? What is the role of the followers?
• Describe the physical location, office decor and so on.
• Consider issues such as dress code, work schedules and others that you think are important in describing your ideal organization.
