This case presents a youth hockey organization at a crossroads. The organization is responsible for youth hockey in a suburb of St$.$ Paul, MN$.$ Some think the current organizational structure needs to change in order to $($a$)$ better develop young hockey players and $($b$)$ to retain hockey players through high school. The youth hockey association has charged Chris Johansen to lead an advisory committee to learn more about the potential organizational changes and how a change like this could impact the players and organization. Based on this information, the advisory committee has been asked to submit a recommendation to the board regarding a potential organizational change. The Integrative Model for Organizational Theory $($Cunningham$,2002)$ will be used to gain a better understanding of the organizational change process.
