This course has covered some great aspects of leadership. During week one, with my limited exposure to the different concepts, I based my week one post on the video from that discussion, where the speaker listed authoritative, coaching, democratic, affiliative, pacesetting, and commanding. In that post, I said my current style is authoritative, coaching, and commanding based on the specific situation. After these past four weeks, I have changed my perspective in both what my current and ideal leadership styles are based on the learning we have made. I believe myself to have a transformational leadership style, but I will also take on a transactional approach if the situation calls for it. I think my ideal leadership style is transformational. I like to challenge people to be better, I try to mentor my team, I like to give people the freedom to come up with ways to do things if that is appropriate
