In conducting a PESTLE analysis I feel there are certain aspects of the analysis that stand out over others. A PESTLE Analysis reviews the Political, Economical, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental factors that affect a business. The external environment for Apple Inc is affected mostly by political, economic, technological, and environmental factors.

Political factors that affect Apple have a lot to do with their manufacturing in China. Apple is reliant on the lower cost associated with manufacturing in China. The political tension between the US and China causes Apple to seek alternative manufacturing locations which could increase manufacturing costs, which in turn, creates an impact on sales revenues.

Economic factors that affect Apple: the increase in labor charges in China could impact the product costs, as a result, would decrease the population of people buying the brand name products. Shipping products from overseas has become more time-consuming and limits the availability of products available to consumers. Limited availability can either increase the desire for the product or cause customers to take their business to a competitor.

Technological factors affecting Apple Inc: Competitors like Samsung and Google are developing products similar to Apple Pay that takes away a unique aspect of Apple, and have less limitation on app availability.

Environmental factors: Environmental activists have great concern about the proper disposal of lithium batteries used in Apple products. Apple is taking the reduction in its environmental footprint very seriously. The vision is to be carbon neutral and by 2030 have all products carbon neutral from how they are manufactured, shipped, used, and recycled. (Apple.com, 2022). Apple is transitioning to a manufacturing supply chain that is 100% renewable electricity since a large concern is the amount of energy that is used to manufacture products, that is/could be affecting climate changes.
