The US Dept. of Agriculture announced last Friday that the average US cornfield this year will yield less per acre than it has since 1995. Soybean yields are down too.

So you'd think farmers who grow these crops must be really hurting... that's the impression that the media portrays. Explain how this is possible when on average, corn growers actually make record amounts of cash from their harvest.
