The purpose of the personnel budget is to forecast all expenditures for personnel (salaries, overtime, and fringe benefits) for the next fiscal year. An Excel spreadsheet will be used to calculate the personnel budget. The above table is just a start. You will be adding columns and rows. You will calculate the personnel budget by position for each month, while also taking into account the bullet points below. Refer to the grading rubric in the assignment for guidance in creating your assignment. A few additional things to keep in mind as you create and calculate the personnel budget: - Use the figures and line items above to create the personnel budget for the next FY. Current hourly salaries are provided. - Each employee is employed full-time (2080 hours per year), except for the file clerk as indicated in the above chart. - Monthly salaries are to be calculated and totaled. Managers/Directors do not wait until the end of the fiscal year to determine how well they are sticking to their budgets! - Fringe benefits are 24% of monthly salaries for full-time employees only. - A 2.5% raise will go into effect on October 1 for all employees.
