This is an experiment which we would normally do with a motion sensor in the lab and a computer connected to it. You would place the motion sensor whose job is to measure the distance between the sensor and the object it is pointed at. It works by using sound waves, just as a bat would use sound to find its way. It sends chirping sound bursts, and from the reflected sound wave's arrival time it calculates the position of the reflector. Well, we have to do it online now and all we have is the video of the experiment.
