This is based on determining the stock market's predictions about the future and how strong those predictions are, comparing market performance based on two different starting dates. This will be accomplished using PerfCharts from StockCharts.com.

you can view how much each sector either outperformed or underperformed relative to the overall index.

Starting from March 23 to today, obtain the PerfChart. Copy this to your Word document. Based on the sectors that are outperforming and underperforming the overall market, discuss what the sector performances predict about the future of the economy. Please include if this is a strong, somewhat strong or weak overall prediction based on the amounts the sectors are changing.Do the same as above, over the period from May 5 to today.Contrast the results from these PerfCharts. Outline the basis for the differences between them. DO NOT just say "this is higher than ..." and "this is lower than ..." Cover what differences in the various sectors imply about the economy. IF, and we hope this never comes to pass, there is a second wave of COVID virus infections, how will the PerfChart change (be specific).
