Recently, you hired a new General Counsel and Vice President (VP) of Operations (one person / one job). Your V.P. of Human Resources (HR), who has been with the company for five years, seems not to be getting along with this person. You have also noticed that the V.P. of H.R.'s work has not been getting done on time and that he's not his "happy self."

You set up a meeting with the V.P. of H.R. to find out what is going on.

During your meeting, the V.P. of H.R. reveals to you that he feels the General Counsel and V.P. of Operations does not treat him with respect, is often rude and, in his opinion, acts in an underhanded manner. The V.P. of H.R. is ready to leave the company and has told you so.
