Problem 2. (10 pts) For the problem analyzed in Section 2.7.2 (Pressure-Driven Flow through a Narrow Rectangular Channel), assuming the values given below for the parameters for the system, address the following: w=8.00mm;h=1.00mm;L=30.0cm;=3.00cP=1.00g/cm3;po=1.000mmHg;pL=0.150mmHg (a) Write out the expressions for vx,yx, and yx as a function of y using the above values and then using Excel (or other suitable graphing program), plot vx,yx, and yx vs. y for y=0.50mm to 0.50mm in increments of 0.05mm (i.e., provide on you answer sheets a separate plot for each of these flow parameters). Your plots for vx,yx, and yx should be in units of mm/svvs.mm, Pa vs. mm, and s1vs. mm, respectively. Be sure to label and provide units for each axis of your plots. Do not hand-draw plots but copy and paste each plot into your solution sheet. (Note: Page 835 of the textbook gives a listing of unit conversion factors.) (b) Calculate the Reynolds number for this flow system based on the above given parameters. Based on the Reynolds number and assuming the same conditions hold regarding laminar vs. turbulent flow as for a circular channel, is the assumption of laminar flow valid for these conditions
