Make a training presentation for new staff members.

To properly implement change, a manager needs to have a toolkit for staff to use in order to help with the transition. When staff is trained and provided with the tools required for success, the change can run more smoothly, and chances of long-term success are greater.

Choose three of the strategies or tools discussed in unit and make a training presentation for the staff to use during the implementation of the EMR. The training presentation should include:

• Each strategy/tool should include:
  • A summary, examples, application for individual roles (Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants), and recommendations for use of the strategy, specific to the EMR implementation.
• Include steps for staff as to how/when to apply each strategy! The presentation needs to utilize speaker's notes or recorded notes on each slide and should have a minimum of five references in APA style.
