This is a published research article on a meta-analysis study. Please take a look and answer the following:

1. A meta-analysis RE-analyzes a set of completed studies. These studies should all have the same (or similar) study design. Whichstudy design or designswere analyzed in this meta-analysis?

2. How many studies (papers) did the researchers find at the beginning? How many studies did they end up reviewing in the end? (briefly describe this process)

3. Take a look at figure #3 and figure #4. What type of plots are these? The red diamonds tell us what the average (pooled) results were for all of the studies the authors examined. The red diamonds in both cases lay approximately at WHAT mark (number)? Recall what you learned about odds ratios. What does that number tell us?

4. Students need to make a statement IN THEIR OWN WORDS summarizing the results of this meta-analysis.
