(THIS IS THE PREVIOUS QUESTION)

(After numerous campus interviews, Alex Sanchi, a student at BC, received two office interview invitations from the Orlando offices of two large firms. Both firms offered to cover her "out-of-pocket expenses" (travel, hotel, and meals). She scheduled the interviews for both firms on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. At the conclusion of each interview, she submitted to both firms her total out-of-pocket expenses of $296 for mileage, hotel, meals, parking and tolls. She believes this approach is appropriate. If she had made two trips, her cost would have been two times $296. She is also certain that neither firm knew she had visited the other on that same trip. Within ten days Alex received two checks in the mail, each in the amount of $296.Did Alex handle the situation properly? If not what should she have done?)

(CURRENT QUESTION TO ANSWER BELLOW)

I have given this question to many classes and normally there are students who say Alex didn't do anything wrong. I hope you all see what Alex did was wrong no matter how you look at it. There were some good attempts at making it seem a little less wrong but in the end it is what it is. Recruiters in big businesses talk. Partners in CPA firms talk. They all expect students to interview with more than one company. So you might think the chances are slim, and they probably are, but it could happen that they find out about the double billing.

There are many ways to be hurt. Based on the question from the previous chapter please tell us who was hurt by Alex's actions. Try not to repeat what other students have already posted, be original. Also tell us how they were hurt. How would you feel if you were the person or one of the persons who were hurt?
