Data Set includes Race results for all NASCAR Winston Cup races between 1975 and 2003, inclusive. The dataset includes the numbers of cars, total prize winnings, monthly consumer price index for the month of the race, track length, laps completed by the winner, spatial coordinates and name of track. Identify two or more questions about the data you that would like to learn more about, by applying statistical methods. Maybe some cool things to study might be 1. Is there a correlation between length of track and number of lead changes and 2. Did the monthly consumer price index have any relation to the prize payouts? It should also be fairly easy to find the drivers or teams that won so maybe compare some descriptive stats related to that? Identify any additional sources of information about the statistical concepts or the data that you will use in your project.
