Uvjectives Gain clear understanding of the nature of penetration testing Acquire knowledge about penetration testing phases and the tasks accomplished in each phase Practice network penetration testing. . . Your task You are required to: Find any four cases of system vulnerabilities in any systems (XP, Windows Server , Linux) using appropriate Ethical hacking techniques such as foot-printing , scanning (NMAP), vulnerability scanning( OPEN_VAS) Deliverables: NMAP scanning report Foot printing report What Vulnerability found What is the appropriate exploit to be used o o O Perform the attack and gain access using appropriate tools in the KALI Deliverables Find and use the appropriate tool in the KALI to gain access o Using the access try some exploitation techniques in the target system (File creation, Activate Camera, Screen Shot) How to remove the attackers attack signature (Clearing the tracks) to escapee from the forensic study Your recommendation to mitigate the attack By the end of this project you should submit a report containing the following sections. 1. Overview Description of penetration testing explaining what is penetration testing and any background details related to it 2. Penetration Testing Phases Detailed description of the penetration testing phases and what are the tasks achieved in each and every phase and list of tools to be used in each stage 3. Implementation You should include screenshots of all your work and description of each step you have done PROJECT REPORT FORMAT 1. Title Page On a separate page immediately following the cover of the report (maximum length 10 words). You should also give your full name, course and submission date below the title. 2. Acknowledgements Page It is usual to acknowledge the persons who helped by giving technical support staff and moral support. 3. Contents Page With Page Numbers 4. Introduction This ,,sets the scene" and gives the reader a brief background to the general area of your project. Describe in general terms what you are doing and why. The introduction should also guide the reader through your report e.g. what is addressed where. 5. Aim and Objectives Aim, Give the main aim of your project.
