Problem statement The proportional-integral-controlled stirred tank heater system (STH), is shown in the Fig. 1.0. The tank is initially operating at steady state with the following conditions. One such variable is the feed temperature. In this assignment, you are required to perform the following: a) For a given integral-time and controller gain, predict the response of the STH temperature (use either inline or function and script file method). b) Investigate the effect of the controller tuning parameters 'controller gain and integral time' on the stirred tank heater response. c) Validate the results in (c) using Simulink.
