This section truly highlighted the foundation of the processes and procedures the accountants with interact with throughout their professional careers. Here is where we learned about ERP, CRM, CSS, SFA, SCM, PLM, and SRM. We often interact with these systems daily without connecting the terminology we learned in class. Knowing what I know now, we transitioned to a new ERP system at work a year ago and it is interesting to reflect on the steps we took to make that implementation. Comparing it to the variety of sub systems outlined in our book, it is great to see how closely this break down correlates to a real transition. Chapter 5-Database Management Systems This chapter really highlighted for me how important to breakdown of information is. Having information available is just one step. Understanding how to connect that data to generate usable reports, that is the next level to be beneficial. This is also the step that improves the overall efficiencies in the work place. I actually really liked the layout of this class. The reading assignments each week made sense and they weren't too overwhelming. With balancing work and school, I feel the way the chapters were laid out also
