This team simulation exercise was designed with the goal of providing the opportunity to use your knowledge and skills in solving an ethical dilemma related to a product defect. The simulation centers on a robotic lawn mower that has a safety protection guard that is difficult to reattach after cleaning. There have been incidents of injuries to animals and children when the mower is run without the guard. Various functional members of the organization have to be prepared for a meeting to make recommendations for dealing with the negative publicity and possible legal liability associated with damages related to product use. The team should be looking not only at the right thing to do, but also how to implement the decision. As we navigate through the course, we will be linking ideas, concepts, theories and processes to this project. The final project will take the form of a formal proposal that will be delivered in PowerPoint format with a Kaltura video presentation. All recommendations should be supported by information in the learning segments including but not limited to the text, resources provided and scholarly research. Group Assignments
