This week touches upon hotel rating systems - such a "5 Star" or "4 Diamonds", wtc.
These systems have a clear standard of what it takes to get that rating. However, there are also individual ratings given by guests on every website (trip advisor, hotels.com, etc.) which are based on the consumer's own standards. What I might find to be 4/5 stars, you might think is a 2/5 based on your experience in other travels.
Your discussion question is - have you found that some different cultures have different expectations for a basic level of service? Provide examples (i.e. are Americans more or less demanding of standard amenities than your own country, etc.).
