This week we have 2 Gleim study units: 11 and 12. I scored mid 50s on study unit 11 and low 60s on study unit 12. My areas of focus this week in study unit 11 will be income, deductions, and losses of a corporation. Study unit 12 deals with corporate tax computations which we covered pretty thoroughly a couple weeks prior but for individual taxpayers not corporations. Based on the study unit 12 diagnostic quiz my studying should concentrate on consolidated returns, controlled groups, earning and profits, and distributions.

I have heard that the corporation tax is a heavily tested area on the CPA so I will be sure to devote ample study time to these sections. The video lectures, textbook, outlines and, of course, lots of practice questions are really important. I will be sure to look at the Gleim answer explanations, especially for the questions that I miss.
